What Child Is This? The Child Is King, And He Makes Joy
Series: What Child is This?
He is THE King, the Ruler of all the kings of the earth (Revelation 1:5). He is directly given the title: “King of kings and Lord of lords” twice in the Scriptures (Revelation 17:14; 19:16).
The baby born in a manger, the preacher of good news, the King crucified on the cross, the King who conquered the grave, the Joy of the world.
We have a king who serves and who was willing to die for us.
Hebrews 12:2
2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It was Jesus’ joy to serve others and then die for others.
