Wendy is blessed to have had her great-grandmother and great aunt in her life while growing up to help show her the love of Jesus. She continues to glean from the faithful women and men at Valley View through Bible study and friendship. Originally from Minnesota, she met her husband John at Bible college in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Religious Studies there along with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg, followed by her Master of Music from the University of Minnesota. She taught private lessons and master classes in her flute studio in Minneapolis until she moved to Arizona in 2008 with John and their three children. Homeschooling her children for fourteen years, in 2017 she was hired to manage the sheet music department of a local music store. She later moved on to serve as director of a new kids' after school coding program, followed by working as administrator for a fashion designer. Through these various experiences, Wendy believes that God has prepared her for her current role at Valley View which she started in 2023. John, Wendy, and their three grown children enjoy hanging out together, laughing and playing games, watching movies, and listening to music.
