"In It Together, Building God's Church"

"Who is able to build a temple for Him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? Who then am I to build a temple for Him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before Him?  II Chronicles 2:6

"That was fun!" That’s what I overheard someone say after our Ground Breaking Ceremony for Step One of our Building Project’s Phase II. And it was! It was good to see smiles, excitement, and participation as we starte to expand and improve our facilities. And in the midst of the sounds of construction, we need to remember. A new, bigger, and improved facility is not they secret to success. The text in II Chronicles reveals this recognition. Something built with human hands cannot adequately honor God. God is bigger than our abilities. So a building is not the key to growth but a place to offer sacrifices to God.

So, why put our efforts and resources into a building?
We see a building as a "place to burn sacrifices before Him."  Therefore it plays a significant role in fulfilling our purpose. We are called to enjoy God and "not forsake" gathering together to encourage one another as we live in the challenging climate of this world.  VVBC pastors and elders believe that this creates space for creating community (Life), celebration (Worship), maturing and equipping (Faith), and sending believers into our world with the message of Christ (Impact).

Our next step will be renovate the kitchen facilities, koinos cafe expansion, and the building of the Adniministration and Clssroom building.

Keep checking back as we post current pictures and give updates.
