“Today, I feel God has me at the peak of a mountain – not so I can claim victory, but so that he can give me perspective to see how far he’s brought me and to see the beautiful unexplored valley below. I believe he’s calling me to “watch and pray” from this place for a time. And I believe that call to watch and pray is at the core of what it means to be an elder. I can’t wait to see where the rest of the journey leads.”  ~Marsha~

“Hebrews 1 and Psalms1, where Christ shows us insightful love and restoration without pressure. Both geared to eradicate the human nature of blameplacing and fault-finding so prevalent in our nature—giving loving kindness and tender mercies. Pat Lawrence

Years at VVBC: 40+

Ministries: Impact Ministry, Christian Education Fund, Treasurer, Prison Fellowship

“Over the last 20 yrs. God has worked many things into me. I’ve pursued mission work, left my job to work in full time ministry, started my own business so I could do “tent making” in China and have ministered in prison. I have tried to have less of me and more of Him during this time. God has proved faithful in continuing to work his will into my life. There are many areas that have been quite uncomfortable where God has worked. There are many ways he has more than fulfilled my desires. The best thing is that God is still working and I am responding the best I can.”.   ~Pat~

As I look at the big picture I cannot help but appreciate His love for me and realize He truly did know me in my mother’s womb and has watched over me every day. I am truly blessed.”  ~Andy~

Maurice Robinson

Grandchildren: 6 so far

Years at VVBC: 16+/-

Ministries:  Life Ministry, Leads a Sunday Bible study

"The opportunity of service that has been given to me with the Adult Bible Study has been a blessing from God. My needs continue to be met as I study and prepare each week. I’m not sure that anyone else is benefitting, but I pray that they are, as I pray for God’s direction in preparation each week. My goal in life was always one of service, but I never really understood the concept of “service above self” until I came to know and appreciate the love of Christ as he died instead of me when I don’t deserve His love.”         ~Maurice~
